Accountant

Hospital For Trauma and Surgery is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, manage budget tracking, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Oversee monthly payroll processing, monitor staff expenses, and handle vendor payments
• Prepare and file timely tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE) in accordance with regulatory laws
• Perform routine bank, inventory, and ledger reconciliations
• Assist in annual budget preparation and analyze variances for cost-saving opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or Financial Officer
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems)
• Strong attention to detail, high ethical standards, and analytical skills
• Professional qualification in Accounting (preferred or in progress)
