Production Supervisor, Injection Moulding / Blow Moulding

Sacvin Nigeria Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee injection and blow moulding operations at their Mowe facility. This is a floor-level leadership role responsible for supervising operators, ensuring production targets are met, managing headcount and attendance, and maintaining quality and safety standards across rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all injection/blow moulding operators during assigned shifts, ensuring machines are manned and producing to daily plans (80T–1300T range)
• Monitor shift production output machine-by-machine; identify shortfalls, investigate root causes, and escalate risks to Factory Manager or PPE
• Ensure operators follow correct procedures, cycle times, material loading protocols, and product changeover instructions
• Conduct regular floor walks to verify machine status, product quality, material usage, and operator adherence to work instructions
• Coordinate with maintenance engineers on machine stoppages; record downtime accurately and follow up on resumption
• Enforce reject and rework segregation; ensure non-conforming parts are correctly identified, tagged, and counted
• Conduct physical headcount at shift start; verify attendance against authorised roster and report discrepancies
• Record operator attendance, lateness, absenteeism, and departures in shift attendance register; submit to Junior HR same shift
• Manage operator deployment across machines; arrange cover for absences and escalate if unavailable
• Report operator underperformance, misconduct, or safety violations to Junior HR and Factory Manager same shift
• Ensure all operators use correct PPE; maintain clean, safe, organised floor per ISO 45001 and 5S standards
• Enforce product quality checks; verify in-process checks (weight, visual, dimensional) and escalate deviations to QA
• Verify correct material identification and prevent mix-ups by checking hopper loading against production plan
• Complete shift production reports capturing output, downtime, rejects, headcount, material consumed, and incidents
• Conduct structured handover to incoming shift supervisor covering machine status, pending issues, and open escalations
• Submit all shift records (attendance, output, downtime, rejects) to Factory Manager, PPE, and Junior HR same shift

Requirements

• HND minimum in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in plastics production; at least 2 years in supervisory role
• Solid understanding of injection/blow moulding processes, cycle times, material loading, colour changes, and process parameters
• Proven ability to supervise and manage multiple production operators across multiple machines simultaneously
• Strong headcount and attendance management experience with shift rosters and HR escalation procedures
• Ability to read and follow production plans, job cards, and work instructions
• Understanding of basic quality checks: weight verification, visual inspection, and reject segregation
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards, PPE requirements, and ISO 45001/5S practices
• Strong written and spoken English for shift reports, attendance records, and communication with management and HR

Salary

NGN 250,000 – 400,000 per month
