Head of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies Department
The Head of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies Department is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the department, supervising teachers, developing academic programs, and promoting Islamic values within the school community.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies Department.
- Supervise and support teachers within the department.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and academic programs.
- Monitor students' academic and moral development.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, assessments, and co-curricular activities.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and discipline.
- Promote the integration of Islamic values throughout the school community.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic Studies, Education, or a related field.
- Have 5–10 years of proven teaching experience in Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Qur’anic studies, Tajweed, Arabic language, and Islamic jurisprudence.
- Have experience in departmental leadership, curriculum planning, and staff supervision.
- Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Be proficient in preparing lesson plans, assessments, and students' progress reports.
- Be committed to promoting Islamic values and character development among students.
- Have the ability to mentor teachers and coordinate departmental activities effectively.
- Possess basic ICT skills for teaching and administrative tasks.
- Be of good character, integrity, and professionalism.
