About the role

Manager (Account Sales) - Sheraton Lagos Hotel

Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group and catering sales opportunities at Sheraton Lagos Hotel. This role focuses on maximizing revenue through upselling, closing business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new group/catering business opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue goals
  • Respond to incoming group/catering inquiries outside Event Booking Center parameters
  • Negotiate contracts and close business using creative selling techniques
  • Upsell business opportunities to maximize revenue potential
  • Monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
  • Manage customer relationships throughout the sales and event delivery cycle
  • Conduct site inspections and create contracts as required
  • Partner with Event Management and Operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Gather customer feedback at pre- and post-convention meetings
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows
  • Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels (Event Booking Center, Market Sales, Strategic Accounts)
  • Ensure proper and timely business handover to Event Management for service delivery

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area; OR
  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
