Child Protection Officer – PREHYA
The Child Protection Officer will be responsible for implementing child protection activities, conducting awareness sessions, supporting vulnerable children, and maintaining confidential documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of child safeguarding standards and experience working with vulnerable communities.
Responsibilities
- Implement child protection activities according to project plans.
- Conduct awareness sessions on child protection risks and prevention.
- Support identification, referral, and follow-up of vulnerable children.
- Strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms.
- Coordinate with service providers and government structures.
- Train community stakeholders on child protection principles.
- Maintain confidential case documentation where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding and protection standards.
- Monitor child protection indicators and prepare reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of child protection experience.
- Experience working with vulnerable children and communities.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
