Child Protection Officer – PREHYA

The Child Protection Officer will be responsible for implementing child protection activities, conducting awareness sessions, supporting vulnerable children, and maintaining confidential documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of child safeguarding standards and experience working with vulnerable communities.

Responsibilities

• Implement child protection activities according to project plans.
• Conduct awareness sessions on child protection risks and prevention.
• Support identification, referral, and follow-up of vulnerable children.
• Strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms.
• Coordinate with service providers and government structures.
• Train community stakeholders on child protection principles.
• Maintain confidential case documentation where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to safeguarding and protection standards.
• Monitor child protection indicators and prepare reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Law, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of child protection experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable children and communities.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
