Staff Accountant – Automotive / Manufacturing

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The role requires expertise in automotive and manufacturing accounting, with a focus on fleet, inventory, and fixed asset management.

Responsibilities

• Manage fleet accounting, including vehicle acquisition costs, maintenance costs, fuel expenses, depreciation, repairs, and fleet-related operating expenses.
• Handle manufacturing accounting, including production costs, raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, inventory valuation, and cost of production.
• Perform inventory and stock accounting, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Manage fixed asset accounting for vehicles and plant/equipment.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and financial analysis.
• Conduct cost and variance analysis, and maintain financial controls.

Requirements

• ICAN qualified – ACA is required.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-ICAN qualification experience.
• Automotive industry experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience in fleet and manufacturing accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and month-end closing.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems; Zoho Books experience is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good understanding of IFRS and Nigerian tax/accounting requirements.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Must reside in Lagos.
• Must be available to resume immediately.
