Logistics & Customs Clearance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Customs Clearance Officer to manage urgent aircraft parts, equipment, and general cargo shipments by air and land. You will ensure company shipments—especially urgent operational parts and equipment—are cleared, moved, and delivered quickly and cost-effectively while maintaining full compliance with all customs, airport, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage aircraft parts, equipment, and general cargo shipments by air and land
• Coordinate customs clearance and regulatory compliance for all shipments
• Ensure time-sensitive shipments (particularly aircraft parts) are expedited
• Liaise with clearing agents, cargo handlers, and logistics providers
• Handle documentation for hazardous materials and regulated goods
• Solve logistics problems under pressure and deliver results

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Aero Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in aviation procurement or maintenance planning
• Proven experience in air freight, customs clearing, or airport cargo operations
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian customs processes and airport cargo terminals
• Experience handling time-sensitive shipments, preferably aircraft parts
• Good relationships with clearing agents, courier contacts, and logistics providers
• Ability to move fast, follow up aggressively, and solve problems under pressure
• Understanding of hazardous materials, regulated goods, and documentation requirements (advantage)
• Honest, organized, and committed to legal and compliance standards

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work with DHL, FedEx, UPS, airport cargo companies, customs clearing firms, or aviation logistics providers

Salary

₦300,000 – ₦350,000 per month
