Quran Arabic and Islamic Religious Studies Teacher (QAIS Mallams)

TAAS Group of Schools, Ibadan invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dedicated professionals for the position of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Religious Studies (QAIS) Teacher (Mallam).

Responsibilities

• Teach Quran, Arabic Language, and Islamic Religious Studies effectively.
• Guide students in Quran recitation, memorization, and Islamic etiquette.
• Prepare lesson plans, class activities, assignments, and examinations.
• Monitor students’ academic and moral development.
• Participate in school programs, meetings, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of NCE, Diploma, B.Ed., B.A. (Ed.), B.A., or equivalent qualification in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
• Have 4–7 years of proven teaching experience in Quran, Arabic Language, and Islamic Religious Studies at the primary and/or secondary school level.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Tajweed, Quran memorization techniques, Arabic grammar, and Islamic teachings.
• Be capable of preparing lesson notes, assessments, and instructional materials in line with the school curriculum.
• Possess strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Be of good moral character and serve as a positive role model for students.
• Be proficient in the use of basic ICT tools for teaching and administration.
• Reside in Ibadan or nearby locations and be available for immediate employment.
