Business Development Associate

A Business Development Associate is responsible for managing and qualifying inbound leads across multiple channels, identifying and prospecting potential clients, and supporting the Head of Business with pitches and proposals. This role involves building strong relationships, following up on opportunities, and leveraging technology to improve sales efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and qualify inbound leads across WhatsApp, email, social media, website and other channels.
• Identify and prospect potential clients, brands, agencies and commercial partners.
• Conduct outbound sales through calls, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients.
• Follow up on proposals, quotations and opportunities through to conversion.
• Support the Head of Business with pitches, proposals, presentations and commercial meetings.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain accurate CRM/sales records and provide regular pipeline reports.
• Research market trends and identify new commercial opportunities.
• Leverage technology and AI tools to improve sales efficiency and lead management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Sales or a related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in sales, business development, customer experience, account management, marketing or a related function is an advantage.
• Strong communication, sales and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and results-oriented.
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable with prospecting, pitching, handling objections and closing.
• Experience in media, advertising, marketing, entertainment, digital platforms or agencies is an advantage.
