Project Driver

Overview: The Project Driver will work under the supervision of the Operations Specialist to ensure smooth, seamless, and safe movement of the project team and visitors during field monitoring activities. You will maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition and ensure it performs optimally at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Provide reliable and secure driving services for authorized personnel and delivery of documents and program-related items
• Transport project team and visitors to various locations for field monitoring activities
• Maintain and perform day-to-day vehicle maintenance including minor repairs, oil changes, tire and brake checks, and car washing
• Log fuel consumption, maintenance records, and prepare vehicle maintenance plans and reports
• Maintain required vehicle documents including insurance, vehicle logs, city/country maps, first aid kit, and spare parts
• Apply defensive driving techniques and comply with all traffic rules and regulations
• Provide physical labor support for office relocations, staff moves, and conferences
• Maintain professional, cordial, and respectful interactions with clients, visitors, and colleagues
• Ensure accident procedures and best practices are followed
• Support basic security management and risk mitigation within the work location
• Provide other project-related support as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Secondary school certificate, National Diploma, or Higher National Diploma in Arts or Social Sciences
• Valid Driver's License (Class B or D)
• Minimum 3 years demonstrated driving experience in Lagos State and its environs
• Knowledge of defensive driving and traffic regulations
• High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Good judgment and steady policy compliance
