Production Accountant

The Paper Packaging Company is seeking a Production Accountant to manage and report financial activities related to production operations in Lagos.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production costs and prepare cost reports
• Analyze and allocate expenses to projects and manufacturing lines
• Track cash flow related to production activities
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and cost control
• Reconcile production accounts
• Support internal and external audits
• Implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong accounting and finance skills with knowledge of cost accounting principles
• Project accounting experience to manage production-related budgets and track costs
• Solid analytical skills to interpret production data and identify cost variances
• Cash flow management skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging industry (beneficial)
• Professional certifications such as ACA or ACCA (advantageous)
