About the role
Head of Sales
P. Petrop Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to drive revenue growth and lead sales operations within the generator and agricultural equipment industry.
This is an executive-level role responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a high-performing sales team, building key client relationships, and exceeding sales targets in Nigeria's agro-economy and power energy sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans with targets, strategies, and business opportunity identification
- Manage sales pipeline by tracking leads, opportunities, and progress to ensure revenue generation
- Analyse market data, customer trends, and competitor activities to inform sales forecasts and resource allocation
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team with coaching, performance evaluation, and development
- Hire and train new sales team members in partnership with HR
- Build strong relationships with key accounts and resolve partner issues effectively
- Develop proposals and present agricultural equipment/generator solutions to potential clients
- Document market interactions and report on sales metrics and team performance to senior management
- Organize customer engagement activities including demos, exhibitions, and conferences
- Stay abreast of market trends through regular client and market visits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant sales experience
- Prior experience in the generator/agricultural equipment sector
- Proven track record in sales & marketing management and business development
- Excellent people skills and communication abilities across diverse backgrounds
- Ability to travel as required and work independently
- Strategic team leadership with high dedication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and marketing communication tools
- Strong soft skills: grace, patience, empathy, self-awareness, emotional intelligence
- Financial planning and solid negotiation skills
- Networking ability with distributors and dealers in the sector
- Training and coaching skills for building high-performing teams
- Organizational and active listening skills
- Understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Tactical thinking capability within budget constraints
Salary
NGN 800,000 – 1,200,000 per month
