Nigerian History Teacher

Teaching historical concepts, national heritage, local cultures, heroes/heroines, and civic evolution to primary grade levels. Aligning lessons with the NERDC History curriculum and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive history lessons using storytelling, primary sources, and role-play
• Plan lesson plans following NERDC guidelines and DTA's academic calendar
• Teach topics on family and community origins, regional cultures, and key historical milestones
• Assess students through classwork, homework, and examinations
• Maintain academic records and monitor student progress
• Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in parent-teacher interactions and cultural events
• Attend staff meetings and professional development programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4 - 7 years of experience
