About the role

Head Retail Sales

Pishon and Brooks Advisory Services is seeking a Head, Retail & Social Media to lead retail store operations while managing the company's social media presence to drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales.

Responsibilities

Retail Operations:

  • Oversee and manage daily operations at the retail store to ensure efficiency and excellent customer experience
  • Develop and implement retail strategies to grow in-store sales, foot traffic, and customer loyalty
  • Coordinate promotions, product launches, and in-store campaigns
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and liaise with the distribution team
  • Set and track retail sales targets; analyze performance data and implement corrective actions
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise retail staff to maintain a high-performing team
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities; develop action plans to improve underperforming products
  • Ensure brand standards in presentation, merchandising, and customer service

Social Media & Digital Engagement:

  • Develop and execute social media content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and WhatsApp
  • Create and curate engaging content (posts, reels, stories, promotions) reflecting the organization's brand voice
  • Grow social media following and increase engagement through targeted campaigns and community management
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to inform content strategy
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align online campaigns with in-store promotions
  • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback on social media platforms professionally

Reporting & Collaboration:

  • Prepare regular reports on retail sales performance, social media metrics, and campaign outcomes
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to support market expansion initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve the retail customer journey and digital touch points

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in retail management with exposure to social media marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage retail teams and drive sales performance
  • Hands-on experience managing brand social media accounts with measurable results
  • Experience in publishing, books, education, or consumer goods retail (added advantage)
