Junior Accountant

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our organization. The ideal candidate should have 0–2 years of accounting experience and be eager to build a successful career in accounting and finance. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow within our finance team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Monitor cash flow and support budget preparation
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions
• Support internal and external audits
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0–2 years of accounting experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and Nigerian tax regulations
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software
