About the role

Head, Strategy

Lead the development, coordination and monitoring of the Bank's corporate strategy to support sustainable growth, improve competitive positioning, and drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation, review and execution monitoring of the Bank's short, medium and long-term strategic plans
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with the Bank's vision, business goals and performance targets
  • Conduct market, industry, competitor and internal performance analysis to identify strategic opportunities, risks and growth priorities
  • Develop strategic frameworks, business cases and recommendations to support management decisions on new initiatives, investments and market opportunities
  • Track implementation of approved strategic initiatives and provide periodic progress reports, insights and corrective action recommendations
  • Facilitate annual strategy sessions, business planning exercises and performance review discussions with key stakeholders
  • Work with business units to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, measurable targets and implementation plans
  • Develop and maintain strategic dashboards, scorecards and reporting tools for monitoring enterprise performance against plan
  • Provide strategic advisory support to executive management on emerging trends, business performance, transformation priorities and competitive positioning
  • Ensure strategic planning activities are supported by robust data, sound analysis and effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Supervise assigned officers and analysts, and ensure timely delivery of strategy-related assignments

Requirements

  • Degree qualification (minimum)
  • 5+ years of experience at senior level
  • Strong knowledge of corporate strategy development, business planning and performance management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret financial, market and operational data
  • Good understanding of the banking industry, market dynamics, competitive trends and regulatory environment
  • Ability to develop strategic frameworks, business cases and actionable recommendations
  • Strong project coordination and change management capabilities
  • Excellent presentation, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and cross-functional relationship management skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment and result orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • English language proficiency
