Accountant at SENCE Nigeria

SENCE Nigeria is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting procedures, and support budget monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate procedures and processes for setting, monitoring, and reviewing financial arrangements
• Update and reconcile bank and cash balances regularly
• Respond to and resolve payment-related queries
• Maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile accounts receivable and payable, prepare fixed asset depreciation and accruals
• Secure financial information through database backups and confidentiality protocols
• Develop, maintain, and review budget monitoring, control, reconciliation, and reporting
• Liaise effectively with external and internal audit functions; maintain audit trails and documentation
• Coordinate with other teams to promote information sharing and joint working arrangements
• Issue Purchase Orders for order confirmation
• Prepare quotations and invoices
• Handle preparation, liaison, and payment of all tax obligations (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, etc.)

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree
• 2–3 years of accounting experience
