About the role
Technology Officer
IPMC LIMITED is seeking a hands-on Technology Officer to support the design, development, operation and continuous improvement of its data intelligence and subscription-based digital platforms. The role involves working across software engineering, live-data systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, APIs, DevOps, and emerging AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and support backend services, web applications, APIs, data services, integrations, testing, releases and production systems.
- Develop and operate live and near-real-time data pipelines, including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, enrichment, reconciliation and data quality monitoring.
- Support subscription technology including user access, authentication, authorization, billing and payment integrations, renewals, webhooks, usage tracking and service notifications.
- Support cloud infrastructure, databases, containers, networking, backups, disaster recovery, CI/CD, observability, logging, alerting and performance tuning.
- Implement secure development and operational controls including IAM/RBAC, least privilege, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, patching, audit logging and incident response.
- Evaluate and implement practical AI, machine learning, automation, forecasting, anomaly detection, search, summarization and decision-support use cases where relevant.
- Work with product, commercial, finance, customer success, data, infrastructure, security and external vendors while contributing to documentation, project delivery and technical decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, data platforms, cloud technology, digital products or technology operations.
- Experience building or supporting data-intensive web or SaaS platforms using APIs, databases, background processing, integrations and production support.
- Good understanding of live or near-real-time data, ETL/ELT, event-driven or message-based systems, data quality controls and operational monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.
