Area Sales Coordinator - Suleja
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd. is seeking an Area Sales Coordinator to drive market growth and manage sales operations across Niger State and surrounding territories.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of sales performance, volume growth, and market share within Niger State and adjoining trade clusters
- Identify, recruit, and onboard high-performing distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners
- Map out efficient route-to-market strategies and journey plans for optimal market coverage
- Coordinate daily sales pipeline, ensure consistent order generation, and monitor timely product deliveries
- Monitor distributor inventory levels and implement stock-push strategies to prevent out-of-stock scenarios
- Direct local trade marketing initiatives, activations, and merchandising setups
- Ensure strict adherence to credit policy and minimize outstanding receivables
- Reconcile distributor accounts regularly with regional finance team
- Gather and analyze competitive intelligence including pricing strategies and consumer preferences
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly sales forecasts, route-compliance evaluations, and territory performance reports
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of verified field sales experience in FMCG, manufacturing, packaging, or agricultural commodities sectors
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Territorial Knowledge: Deep operational familiarity with Niger State (Minna, Bida, Suleja, Kontagora) and environs; existing distributor relationships advantageous
- Skills: Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ability to calculate trade margins and analyze sales data; high emotional intelligence
- Mobility: Must be willing to travel extensively across assigned territory; valid driver's license required with demonstrated safe driving capability
- Language: Fluency in English required; strong command of local languages (particularly Hausa) highly essential
Nice-to-Have: Professional membership or certifications from bodies like the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN)
