Cost Controller

Responsible for managing inventory, purchasing, cost analysis, and process control within Bolton White Hotels & Apartments. This role involves monitoring stock levels, analyzing costs, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular physical stock counts across all departments (Kitchen, Bar, Housekeeping, Maintenance) and reconcile inventory against sales records.
• Monitor daily receiving reports to ensure all incoming goods match purchase orders in quality, price, and quantity.
• Identify and minimize waste, spoilage, shrinkage, and unauthorized usage across departments.
• Calculate, monitor, and report daily and monthly Food & Beverage (F&B) cost percentages against targets.
• Analyze yield tests, recipe costing, and menu engineering with the Culinary team to ensure optimal pricing and profit margins.
• Prepare detailed monthly cost audit reports, variance analyses, and actionable recommendations for executive management.
• Audit store receiving, issuing, and transfer procedures to maintain strict internal control standards.
• Review vendor pricing agreements, negotiate competitive terms, and evaluate supplier reliability.
• Ensure full compliance with hotel purchasing policies and financial SOPs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cost control, store management, or operational accounting within the hospitality industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in hospitality Point of Sale (POS) systems, Inventory Control Software (e.g., Materials Control, Opera, Micros, or QuickBooks), and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong numerical accuracy, sharp analytical capability, excellent negotiation skills, and high ethical standards.
