Senior Credit Risk Analyst

Vale Finance Limited is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to evaluate creditworthiness of loan applicants, conduct risk assessments, and monitor loan portfolios. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate creditworthiness of loan applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine risk levels.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and recommend appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions for loan approvals.
• Review loan applications and make recommendations based on established credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify potential risks, trends, and adverse developments. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including collateral requirements, loan restructuring, and collections initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, collections, and compliance, to ensure consistent application of credit policies and procedures.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management to enhance risk assessment methodologies and processes.
• Prepare and present credit risk reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Participate in credit committee meetings and provide input on credit-related matters, portfolio performance, and risk trends.
• Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory agencies to support effective risk management and compliance efforts.

Requirements

• Suitable knowledge regarding loan underwriting with products such as Candidates who have worked in financial institutions with single obligor limits around 100m – 500m.
