Finance Lead

The Finance Lead is the highest-ranking finance professional in the Company and is responsible for overseeing and controlling all financial functions of the business. This role provides financial leadership, ensures strong financial management, accurate reporting, effective cash flow management, and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all finance and accounting functions of the Company.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Provide clear analysis of revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, profitability, and variances.
• Develop and manage the Company's annual budget, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Oversee accounts receivable, collections, payables, and supplier obligations.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls and processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Provide financial guidance for business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and systems.
• Develop financial dashboards and reports for Management.
• Lead, manage, and develop the Finance team.
• Work closely with the CEO and other business leaders to align financial management with the Company's objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with significant experience leading a finance function.
• Strong experience in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll, taxation, and financial controls.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong commercial and business understanding, with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business decisions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
