About the role
Warehouse Officer / Oiler
Responsible for the receipt, inspection, and storage of general stores, consumables, AGO, and lubricants. Ensures proper inventory management, stock accuracy, and safe handling of hazardous materials. Supports the Material Officer and maintains accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries against POs and delivery documents.
- Coordinate with end users for technical verification of items.
- Raise goods receipt notes and put away materials in designated locations.
- Maintain warehouse layout, housekeeping, and FIFO stock rotation.
- Issue materials against approved requisitions and monitor stock levels.
- Conduct inventory checks and reconcile physical stock with records.
- Maintain a register of obsolete or slow-moving items.
- Support transition to structured inventory systems (SAP / HMIS).
- Hold custody of AGO and lubricants, ensuring safe handling and dispensing.
- Record all dispensing transactions and reconcile with physical stock.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Prepare reports on stock balances and consumption.
- Protect warehouse and stock from theft and unauthorized access.
Requirements
- Must have a clean record and be able to work independently.
- Must possess strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Must be familiar with inventory management systems.
- Must have good communication and teamwork skills.
