Contract Manager at Smit Lamnalco

Smit Lamnalco is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee high-quality service delivery in Port Harcourt. You will manage the complete contract lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations are performed in a professional, efficient, and cost-effective manner
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients
• Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations to client satisfaction
• Conduct regular performance review meetings based on pre-agreed performance parameters
• Ensure all operations meet safety, security, and SLIMS policy compliance standards
• Monitor operational and vessel personnel compliance with relevant regulations and SHEQ policies; implement corrective/preventive actions for non-compliance
• Provide adequate training and staff development in cooperation with HR
• Conduct annual performance appraisals for shore staff, captains, and chief engineers
• Provide input to annual budgets and monthly/quarterly performance reports
• Monitor contract financial performance and ensure budget targets are achieved

Requirements

• Proven contract management experience
• Strong operational and technical oversight capabilities
• Excellent client relationship management skills
• Knowledge of safety, security, and compliance regulations
• Financial acumen and budget management experience
• Leadership and staff development capability
• Experience in maritime or similar regulated industries is advantageous
