Project Coordinator – Governance Watch

Alimat Care Foundation is seeking a committed Project Coordinator to lead the implementation, coordination, field monitoring, and reporting of its Governance Watch: Youth-Led Local Government Accountability Initiative in Northeast Nigeria, funded by the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the project across the six Northeast states.
• Oversee the Northeast Governance Hub and coordinate external consultants.
• Lead the selection, training, and onboarding of youth accountability champions.
• Coordinate partner CSOs, workshops, stakeholder engagements, and mini-grant activities.
• Organize LGA-level accountability dialogues and support advocacy activities.
• Coordinate the #GovernanceWatchNG media campaign and learning exchange.
• Track project indicators, collect field data, and prepare donor reports.
• Monitor project risks and ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies.
• Integrate GESI and PSEA principles into project activities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in NGO project management, civic engagement, youth development, or governance programming in Northeast Nigeria.
• Experience in local government accountability, budget tracking, electoral, or governance projects.
• Proven experience working with young people and managing multi-stakeholder events.
• Experience working with partner CSOs and managing sub-grants.
• Strong project planning, budget monitoring, and team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Fluency in English and Hausa; Fulfulde is an advantage.
• Experience with GESI and PSEA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Salary ₦350,000 Gross Monthly
