About the role
Business Development Officer (Credit Sales)
The Borough Lagos is seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to identify growth opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue through strategic partnerships and market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets
- Develop and implement effective sales and growth strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve revenue targets
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to align strategies
- Track and report on business development performance and KPIs
- Attend networking events, meetings, and industry conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Prior fashion/garment production experience required
