Nigerian Chartered Accountant (Financial Accountant)

Bauhaus Group is seeking an experienced Nigerian Chartered Accountant to join our team in Abuja, supporting road and bridge construction operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-driven finance professional with construction sector expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, general ledger, and monthly/quarterly/annual closings
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards
• Handle construction project accounting, including IFRS 15 revenue recognition and cost variance tracking
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and materials/inventory accounting
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CMA, or CPA (preferred)
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience
• Mandatory: Construction industry experience
• Strong IFRS knowledge and ERP proficiency (Odoo, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Sage, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
