Area Sales Manager – Fish Feed

Proten International Limited is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth and market penetration for our fish feed products across assigned territories in Lagos.

You will identify and onboard new distributors, dealers, and fish farm customers, manage competitor intelligence, and execute field activation plans to achieve monthly and annual volume and margin targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales strategies for fish feed products to achieve revenue and volume targets
• Identify, approach, and onboard new distributors, dealers, and fish farm customers; conduct needs assessments and negotiate terms
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and new product developments
• Prepare detailed sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance analyses
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual volume and margin targets; review performance against KPIs regularly
• Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to ensure excellent customer service and timely order fulfillment
• Drive brand visibility through targeted field activation plans, farmer education days, and product demonstrations
• Negotiate sales agreements, pricing contracts, and volume commitments with key accounts
• Conduct regular structured farm visits to prospective customers to assess feeding practices and identify upselling opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND from a recognized institution
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales (preferably in similar business)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
